Summary

The C14 is often the first real step into proper silo storage. It moves the site beyond compact buffers and into a format that starts to feel like true silo-based fuel handling. Compared with the smaller 2m models, the storage increase is significant, while the overall structure remains commercially practical for smaller installations.

For many sites, the C14 is the point where storage stops being a workaround and starts becoming part of the system design.

Why Choose C14

The C14 combines three important advantages:

  • noticeably more storage than the smallest bunker or compact conical options
  • gravity-assisted discharge
  • a relatively compact footprint for a genuine silo solution

That makes it an attractive first move for sites that want the benefits of silo storage without immediately stepping into larger mid-range industrial models.

Design Consideration

The important change introduced by the C14 is feed height.

Once the system moves into this type of silo, conveying can become necessary unless the surrounding layout is designed around the silo from the start. That is the main trade-off: the site gains proper silo storage, but may also need to accept more deliberate fuel-transfer design than with a low-fill bunker.

Best Fit

The C14 works well where the site wants to step into a proper conical silo format, but does not yet need the autonomy or scale of the more common mid-range models such as the C28.
