Summary

The C50 is a true industrial workhorse and one of the most important transition points in the Ranheat silo range. It is not simply a larger C28. Moving into a C50 changes the operating rhythm of the whole system. Storage capacity reaches a level where autonomy becomes much more noticeable and operator involvement drops materially.

For sites that are growing out of mid-sized daily handling patterns, the C50 is often the model that moves storage from “managed regularly” to “managed strategically”.

Why Choose C50

At this level, storage typically reaches around 15 to 20 tonnes depending on fuel density. That additional capacity means:

  • substantially improved autonomy
  • less frequent operator interaction
  • more stable day-to-day handling of waste volumes

The step from a C28 to a C50 is operationally significant. It is not just an increase in stored volume. It can fundamentally change how often the system demands attention.

Typical Pairing

The C50 is commonly associated with:

  • MSU 450 to 600 scale systems
  • larger MSU 300 installations
  • sites that want a clear reduction in intervention frequency without stepping straight into very large energy-centre storage
Commercial Logic

The C50 makes sense when the site has moved beyond the point where a mid-range silo is simply smoothing daily fluctuations. At this stage, the aim is to create a more autonomous industrial system with fewer interruptions, stronger storage resilience, and more operational headroom.
